April is Autism Awareness Month and whereas autism affects one in every 150 kids (4 out of every 5 of which are males,) it is the fastest growing developmental disability affecting children. Individual states have been jumping on the bandwagon to sign bills requiring insurance companies to cover some form of therapy for children diagnosed with Autism, especially since early intervention has the best results. One of the more popular and proven therapies is Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapy, or ABA Therapy. This is the only therapy with more than 30 years of research to support it's effectiveness on children diagnosed with Autism.
