Here are some tips from Deb's book: Mom NEEDS Chocolate: Hugs, Humor and Hope for Surviving Motherhood

1. Eat together: We're not talking just good nutrition, here. We're talking about making the time to instill values, family identity and self-worth in our children. And maybe a little hilarity, too.
2. Designate family time: For one night each week, set aside work, unplug the TV and computer, employ the answering machine, and whip out games, puzzles, silly competitions, family movies, create-your-own-pizza or sundae extravaganzas, invent goofy sports, plan trips together. Keep the time light and rich with laughter.
3. Intentional touch: Cuddle during TV and reading times, establish the habit of kissing hello and good-bye, give liberal love pats, foot rubs and tender hugs, wrestle for fun, try out new hairdos on each other (even boys).
