Panama City Beach: Where to Eat

Published: March 10, 2009

Fresh Off The Boat – Nothing is better when visiting the Gulf Coast than sampling the fresh seafood that is available – sometimes literally right across the street. Here are some favorite choices from Southern Living editors and our readers:

Capt. Anderson's – once again voted one of the favorites in our annual Reader's Choice Awards.

Hunt's Oyster Bar – A favorite with our editors — and with locals, too. The same family has owned it for several generations. It stays packed, and it's worth the wait. Our favorite -- the oysters here, especially a few of each variety (they come broiled in the shell). Their fried shrimp is the best in Panama City.

Saltwater Grill-Antonio's & Pasta Grill – If you are not into seafood then check out this little Italian restaurant and bakery. They stole our editor's heart and tastebuds. It's tops on our list for PC dining.
