Serves 4
Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
1 pound NY Strip steak, sliced thin into 4 inch pieces
1 bunch scallions, cut into thirds and sliced in half lengthwise
2 carrots, julienne
1 cup button mushrooms, sliced
2 packages Ramen noodles, prepared following directions on package
½ tablespoon chopped garlic
½ tablespoon ground ginger
A few shakes soy sauce
A bit of olive oil Salt and pepper
Action:
1. In a large saucepan, add a bit of olive oil over high heat. Add beef and brown on all sides with a bit of salt and pepper.
2. Add the scallions, carrots, garlic, mushrooms, and ginger with a few shakes of soy sauce and reduce the heat to medium.
3. Follow the directions on the Ramen noodle package and reserve one the side for later.
4. Once the vegetables have browned and cooked mostly (about 8-10 minutes) add the noodles and ½ of the liquid and let reduce by ½ (about 5 minutes) and serve steamy hot.
