Create The Good is a network of people who are making a difference in their communities
· Whether you have five minutes or five hours a week, there are small or simple things we can all do to help.

AARP is calling on its members to Create the Good in their neighborhoods.
More than 9 million people make a difference through AARP's various networks for volunteers, donors, and activists.

We also recognize that our members can offer each other a wealth of ideas and wisdom. Create The Good, a group in our Online Community, was created for that purpose. Join the discussion, share your experiences, and get new ideas. Through AARP's community Web portal, www.aarp.org/makeadifference, Brown will also connect with AARP's members regularly through an online blog and Podcasts, in addition to appearing at various AARP events across the country,
AARP, the world's leading organization for people 50+, announced the newest addition to its family of Ambassadors with James "J.B." Brown of CBS Sports fame as the organization's new Community Ambassador. As AARP's Community Ambassador, Brown will spread the call to action for people to get involved in their own communities and around the world by offering advice on a range of topics affecting communities and families such as finance, health, and care giving.

AARP was founded with the motto, "To Serve, Not to Be Served." Through Create The Good, we are increasing the number and involvement of volunteers around the nation. Giving back helps keep all of us active and healthy, while meeting urgent needs among our extended families, neighborhoods, workplaces, and the other communities to which we belong.
