Pizza Party!
Kids love making their own pizzas. Instead of kneading your own pizza dough (which is quite fun, but does take time to let rise) use large flour tortillas, pita bread, flatbread, Boboli pizza shells or my favorite...naan bread. The key is to resist the urge to over-fill your pizza! The goal is to make the pizza as colorful as possible!
flatbread, naan or pizza shell of your choice (see above)
olive oil + brush
shredded cheese
pineapple chunks
dice ham
pepperoni slices
sliced mushrooms
cooked, shredded chicken
broccoli florets (cut very small)
shredded carrots
diced bell peppers
canned corn
sliced olives
Pre-heat your oven to 375F. Place each topping in a separate small bowl or plate and line them up on the counter. Have the kids paint each flatbread all over with olive oil (especially the edges) and choose their own toppings. Don't put too much topping on each pizza otherwise the pizza will end up too heavy and soggy. Just a light sprinkle of cheese to top it all off.
Bake for 6-7 minutes until top of pizza is melted and the edges of the flatbread is golden brown.
