Pizza Bones
2 ½ cups whole wheat flour
½ cup non-fat dry milk
¾ cup beef, chicken, or vegetable stock
1 egg, well beaten
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon molasses
1 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Mix all ingredients; except for the Ketchup and ½ cup flour, together in a large bowl. Mix until a ball is formed, adjusting with the remaining flour as needed.
Sprinkle a little flour onto work surface, place dough onto surface and knead for 2 or 3 minutes. Using a flour dusted rolling pin, roll out the dough until it is evenly about a 1/2" thick. Using a flour dusted dog bone cookie-cutter or a knife, cut into dog bone shapes and place on a greased cookie sheet. Continue process until all dough is used.
Bake for1 hour and turn off oven. Remove biscuits and brush ketchup over the top of each cookie. Immediately place cookies back into oven and let biscuits remain there for another ½ - full hour until they are very hard.
