Porcupine Meatballs

PORCUPINE MEATBALLS
Serves 6

1½ lbs. lean ground beef
2/3 cup long grain rice, uncooked
½ cup water
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 can (15oz.) Tomato sauce
1 cup water
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Mix ground beef with rice, ½ cup water, chopped onion, salt and garlic powder. Shape into 1½ in. balls.

2. Place the meatballs into an ungreased 2 qt. shallow baking dish. Mix the remaining ingredients in a small bowl and pour over the meatballs. Cover and bake for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 to 20 minutes longer.
