Photographer Jeff Donald from the Digital Photo Academy joins Daytime to discuss how you can get the best pictures out of your digital cameras.
1) Use a tripod or a steady support to make your photos sharper
2) Shoot High or Shoot Low - make your photos different from everyones else's by shooting below 3 to 4 feet and above 6 feet
3) Get closer to your subject - Like Robert Capa said (one of the founders of Magnum) "If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough" Of course Robert Capa blew himself up by stepping on a land-mine in Indochina in 1954, so maybe we shouldn't get toooo close!
4) Keep the background simple, avoid clutter (goes hand in hand with get closer to your subject
5) Get down to their level. This could lead into the segment on photographing children.
